I was searching from spare parts and found this on a different forum:

It was a guy selling a so-called kit doing this.

I am trying to figure a better route for this mod something like:

You disarm the car, ambient lights up. You open the door, instrument lights up.
If you start the motor they will remain active. If not, after 20 seconds they will dim-off (fade to non active) but more slowly than this video.

I think I saw something similar on a Chevrolet Cruze ?

Seems to be quite simple...

The Illumination-Line (58d, grey/blue) is hooked up via diode to +12V of the interior lights (red/blue), if you open the car via remote or open a door, the interior lights light up
The Illumination-Line is also hooked up via a second diode to the ignition-line..
