Hello. I just moved to munich. Probably should have learned to language a little better before i got here but time constraints forced our move a little early. I was hoping to find a little help on here with car laws and what I need to do to get one registered. Also i was hoping to meet some new friends.

First thing i am going to do here is take a German coarse to learn the language better. Then its back into the car scene.

Is there anyone on here from Munich. I Found the site by a sticker someone had on the side of there silver MK4 golf on Wiesentfelser Str. Just curios who it was.

Hows it going. Thanks for the comment on the cabby. I loved that car. I met my girlfriend in the states and her visa expired so i decided to come with her. Ive only been here a week and i love it so far. As of another MK4 im not sure yet. I want another corrado. I had one a few years ago and would love to get back into one. It seem like a newer car might be easier at first though for TUV and the emissions zones in Munich.

No, I´ live about 700km away, in north germany. The Corrado shouldn´t be a problem in an emission zone, when the car has a catalytic converter (G-Kat) it gets the Green one. The emission Zones are more an Diesel Engine issue.
Yeah, TUV is very strict here, and the condition of a corrado depends a lot on the budget. But there is the possibility that you can test-drive the car and drive to an DEKRA-Station. They offer an "used car check" and can tell you if the car is gettin through TUV or not. Costs about 50 euro. Or the seller offers a new TUV check before you buy it.
