Sorry for this late answer.
For the moment I have only made a sketch with the leds and resistors.




For the days to come I will put some real photos with my new project. I will make Golf 4 Variant taillights for my brother.

Some of the leds I bought them from e-bay and from a local website.
Look for Superflux or Piranha leds.


I also bought the metallic bells from local REAL Supermarket (Christmas Things).

For now I have the taillights and I began by cutting them and I made the templates.

Today I made the Turn-Signal:

I cut the circuit board according to the template and heat up the circuit board so that the curve of the board will be aprox with the curve of the glass.
Then I put the foil, leds and bells. Because the glass has a curve I tried to install the leds so that its focus straight on the back of the car.
Then a began soldering the leds and rezistor and also the wires.










Final result. I need to buy the high power resistor to fool the car and this step it is almost ready.

I finishd soldering all the leds.

And I also bought Integrated circuit that limits the curent to 12 V (SE7812) and for now 2 ceramic rezistors with Al radiator (22Ohm and 50 W)
I need 4 Ceramic rezistors ( 2 for brake, 2 for turn signal)

For those who are planing on doing this change here are some of the main materials:

* Perforated circuit board(20x15cm board and 20x10 cm board) + adhesive Al foil

* Leds
- 2 X 21 red Superflux leds + 42 R 560 ohmi + 42 metallic bells
2 x 12 leds - running light ; 2 x 9 leds - break

- 2 x 7 yellow Piranha leds+ 42 R 560 ohmi + 14 metallic bells

- 2 x 17 white Simple 5mm leds (or piranha/supeflux) + 34 R 470 ohmi

* 8 pieces integrated circuits SE7812 (12V)

* 4 pieces R 22 ohmi 50 W

nixe work and i know how much work it is, but in my opinion the dots are a bit to big, maybe you schoul usw it without the silver rings and two lines of leds, so there would not be the dots.
how about the backdrive light, ist it bright enough or too dark?

ey leute übertreibt mal nun auch nich seine arbeit is schön und sauber aber perfekt noch lange nicht, und sein wissen geht nun auch nicht großartig über elektrotechnische grundlagen

Thx to all for the nice words.
In the past, my 1st design, I used a lot of leds without any bells or tubs.
The big problem is the inner model of the glass because it is not clear.
By using the metallic bells the lights it is more defined. U have to consider also the distance. From a short distance the taillights will look a little bit different then for far away.






As for the backdrive lights it is much more brighter then the stock one.

I finished cutting all the bells.



I installed them.




After that I tried to make the simple circuit to limit the curent at 12V.
I used LM317T and 2 rezistors (100 ohm and 830 ohm). This means the any time I will not have curent greater then 12V.
I used a non perforated circuit board and solution to dizolv the Cu thin foil after making the model with a marker.










The result.












Next weekend I will try to put them on the car.
